Hey everybody,

I have entered the MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride and will be 'riding for a reason' on Sunday 7 November.

I am riding to support people affected by Multiple Sclerosis, and I need your help.

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system affecting more young adult Australians than any other neurological condition. Your donation will go towards providing a wide range of equipment, support and services to those people affected by this debilitating disease.

Did you know?
- The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years
- 3 times more women than men are affected by MS
- There is no known cause or cure

Please take a moment to view my online fundraising web page and help me reach my goal. It's quick and easy and takes no time at all. You can donate securely online using your credit card by clicking on the link below:

http://register.gongride.org.au/MS-Sydney-to-the-Gong-Bike-Ride/Blast

You will receive a tax-deductible receipt via email automatically when the transaction has been completed.

Thank you in advance for your support. It is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Bill

What sort of roads will you be riding?
What temps?

Whatever the conditions I know bikerblast will do it!

Hey thanks Mister2,
Its all sealed roads but there is a shit of a climb 3/4 the way through. The temperature should be around the 25 degree mark so its not to bad either way. The cut the riders off at 10,000 so hopefully they earn some good money

I am pretty sure it will be a good ride for me, I have done 60 odd km through bush and tracks so I am guessing that this will be slightly easier

25 degrees and heavy exercise doesn't sound too good to me!
As you say, it should be easier than riding tracks.  Maybe filling your shorts with helium would help on the climb?!

Good luck, anyway :-)

(Not sure what the deal is with the HTML code on the donation site!)

So it'll be a blast then?

BTW, the donation sign-up page seems a little finicky. E.g. needs to have amount re-selected after scripting is allowed even though the selected button displays.  Also demands a Mr/Mrs/Miss title plus Male/Female. (Testing for  a conflict on those two maybe?)   Don't want to lose a donation due to frustration.

Also I thought selecting anon would mean my real name isn't displayed.  Instead my nick is not shown.

Ah so you are the other anon
Doesn't keep too many secrets, does this internet?
I am sure that it will be all ok,
Its not that I am a loose cannon or anything

am I?

Thanks too, it means I have nearly broken the back of the sponsorship thing. I am guessing we will get a few locals closer to the time which should bump us up nearer to the goal

Eh?  Was it not anon before?  What I expected was that only my nick would show if choosing anon and that my real name would show if the anon button was not selected.  That and the other items I pointed out seem little confusing is all.
